Our Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign ended last night at midnight. In the last 60 days we were able to officially raise around $2400 USD, out of a goal of $20,000 USD. We do have about $1500 in pledges we're waiting on, but we have not added this to the total yet. In anticipation of all of this, we are announcing our surprise fundraiser that is being launched today.
Contributions are still being accepted regularly, but starting today through August 31st, 2024 at midnight, all contributions will be eligible to be a part of our drawing. Rising Phoenix Equestrian has donated a homebred horse to the cause. She is a lovely 4 year old purebred Andalusian S/P mare with IALHA. Her name is Quelinda (Queenie is her barn name). For every $25 film contribution received from an individual, they will receive an entry into this complimentary horse drawing. When sending funds please put name for entry and contact information for in case you win! ***Contributions can be made via: Zelle (Ashley) - 623-221-7401, PayPal friends and family - [email protected], Facebook Pay messenger - Ashley Bowers, cash, or check. Entries will be posted and updated regularly on social media (FB and Insta). The drawing will be held once we reach a minimum of 350 tickets sold. The results will be posted online. The winner will be personally notified as well. The horse will need to be picked up within two weeks of drawing in Cave Creek, AZ (board will be charged daily after this timeframe). This is a great opportunity to acquire an authentic part of the film. Iberian horses are a key element of Eye For An Eye. This is a wonderfully rare opportunity to support a film and have the opportunity to win a $20,000 USD horse! Please feel free to reach out with any questions via the Contact Us tab. We're very excited to announce that Eye For An Eye has been nominated for Best Short Screenplay at The Pittsburgh Moving Picture Festival! Results will be announced at the festival this Sunday, May 19th, at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center.
We were also selected to be included in The Love & Hope International Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain in September. Our short script was submitted and we are thrilled in anticipation for this event! We are still crowdfunding on Indiegogo for the final two weeks of the campaign. We need your help to meet our goals. Actor, Tom Proctor, has so graciously offered to contribute autographed memorabilia from any of his films to donors that contribute $25 or more to this campaign. This perk is in addition to all of the aforementioned perks currently offered. Please click this link to make a contribution (even $5 will help us reach our goal!) igg.me/at/eyeforaneye/x/34461148#/updates/all We would also like to thank actor, Rich Henkels, for his testimonial and contribution. Please be sure to check out his work as well as his creation, Actors Think Tank, a resource for actors everywhere. We have a couple interviews in LA lined up as well and will keep you posted on their release dates. Eye For An Eye is set to film in November in Arizona. Our main cast is mostly confirmed (we will be casting two principal roles towards the end of summer). Our DP, Bernie Tarin, is confirmed to shoot. We have our stunt coordinator, Alan Marquez, from Mexico lined up. Our horses are ready for the project. Our first official producer is on board, Desiree Ekundayo, and we thank her for her support and contribution. She will also take part in the film! Our lovely hairstylist, Christina Koscal, and makeup artist, Karla Bowers, will be the HMU team during production. Our creative producer, script editor and co star, Kat Kemmet, will be coming in from LA/NYC to shoot. This short will be used to promote the full feature length version we plan to film the following year. But we needs funds raised and awareness of our project to get distribution opportunities and a much bigger budget to do this project justice for the feature. So far our script is doing well in the festival circuit. We're confident our short will too, but we need your help to get there. Please take a moment to contribute your time, or donate just $5, or share our posts. We love the support and enthusiasm for this project so far and would love to have you be a part of the movie making magic. Whether in person or in spirit, we need you all. Nothing can get done alone, and the making of films truly takes a village to do it right. Until next time! Pre production on our short, Eye For An Eye, is officially under way!
Logline: A scavenger in a post apocalyptic combine attempts to flea their tyrannical leader's control, but will her sister (their leader) let her. This short will be filmed in Arizona with talented locals as well as some professionals from California and Mexico. We'll have well trained horses in the film. We hope to showcase the short to some of the best film festivals in the world. Our goal is to use the short to showcase the feature script that will be promoted along with it. A female led film with Mexican American cultural influence, desert landscape, action, and lovely horses. We are fundraising at the moment and we would love you to be a part of the magic of film making! Your support and contributions are greatly appreciated and will be met with wonderful incentives. Please follow the link to our indiegogo campaign for further details and to see the "perks" we have available.
